Keeping Warm

The weather outside is frightful, well maybe not scary but it sure is cold. My suggestion is to stay indoors and build props...in this case some scary and evil snowmen.

Halloween 2013

The yard display went up on Monday, October 28th and while technically it was the smallest display we have done since 2006 it did feature a lot of new pieces.

New for 2013 were three large Green Demons, two Green Goblins, a dozen papier mache Tombstones and two new Gargoyles.

The three evenings leading up to Halloween were beautiful but Wednesday night the rain started and by my estimation we received over two inches of rain by Thursday morning.

This is the second year of crappy weather but we pushed through the mess and had a fun Halloween all the same.

Hope everybody’s favorite day was fun and safe….now get started on 2014!

Final Pumpkin Workshop of 2013!

This is the last Pumpkin workshop for the 2013 Halloween season!

This is your chance to start building some great Jack O’Lantern props for Halloween. The September Pumpkin Workshop will allow participants to create their own large pumpkin complete with an elaborate carved face of their choosing. Past workshops have proven to be a very fun and enjoyable experience all while learning many different papier mache techniques.

This unique experience is recommended for those 12 years and older. The workshops can be physically demanding requiring participants to stand, kneel, lift and work in uncomfortable positions. Papier mache can be a bit messy so please dress accordingly. The class uses a variety of non-hazardous materials such as flour, glue and joint compound, as well as latex and acrylic paints.

Workshop cost is $100 per person which includes all tools and materials.

You are encouraged to bring your own drink and snack. Call (989) 750-6457 to register. Payment in the form of cash or check is due at the beginning of the first session. Class size is limited to 8 seats.
