Inspiration-Cemetery

Most families spend the evening playing putt-putt golf or getting ice cream. We do those things as well but we often take little side trips to explore interesting places most people ignore.

These photos are from a visit to an old cemetery in a nearby town, we have no releatives buried here, it just looked like a beautiful place to visit.

We spent about an hour quietly looking at the names and dates on the headstones, admiring the artistry of the monuments and talking, yes talking with our kids about many different things. The setting sparked many interesting questions and that evening remains a special memory.

Enjoy the photos, the cemetery contained almost everything you could ever want for a home haunt display, I hope they serve as inspiration.

Beautiful photos, and wonderful monuments. Cemeteries are a favorite place for me to visit as well. My next "date" with my husband is a visit to a local cemetery for some photos for my collecting, and dinner (at a restaurant, not the cemetery... lol). Thanks for sharing!
